An easy circular walk around the National Trust Longshaw Estate.
The route begins at the Wooden Pole (NT) car park and is a wonderful walk through stunning scenery, ancient woodland and alongside the beautiful Padley Gorge.
Padley Gorge is a magical area with a babbling brook, perfect for picnics and paddling.
There is a cafe, shop and toilet facilities at Longshaw Lodge.

Both holiday cottages are suitable for up to two, well behaved dogs. There are a number of dog friendly cafes and pubs nearby, as well as wonderful walks to enjoy and rivers to paddle in.
Cycle Friendly
Bring your bikes along and enjoy the beautiful Peak District scenery on one of the many nearby cycle routes. We have secure outdoor cycle storage on site for two bikes.
Local Attractions
Our one bedroom holiday cottages provide the perfect country bolthole, from which to explore the Peak District. The market town of Bakewell and stately home of Chatsworth, are only a 10 minute drive away.

Wow, what an amazing place !!!
The cottage is in the beautiful village of Sheldon which is a tiny, unspoilt village surrounded by rolling hills and views to die for.
The cottage itself is beautiful, it’s furnished to a very high standard, cosy and the little extras you discover are overwhelming!

Well equipped cottage, comfortable and with beautiful views, Keepers cottage is a great place to stay if you plan on visiting the local area. A great location to easily visit some of the peaks great attractions, and a good base for local walks too. Highly recommended! The owner even makes a cake fresh for your arrival.
Absolutely lovely cottage and very friendly owners
The cottage is small but so perfect for two! We had everything we needed. Everything was spotless and the cottage was very well equipped. We would definitely recommend staying here, we would love to go back. So much to see and do nearby.
