Townend Holiday Cottage / Keepers Cottage
Directions to Keepers Cottage from Bakewell / A6 (under 10 mins)
- Starting at The Rutland Hotel in the centre of Bakewell
- Follow signs for Buxton A6
- Continue along A6/Buxton Road until to you see Ashford-In-The-Water Sheepwash Bridge on your right
- Turn left following signs for Sheldon
- Continue along the road for approx. 1 mile (the road is quite narrow in places and turns into a steep incline)
- Take the first right hand turn following signs for Sheldon (it is a sharp bend with a steep incline)
- Follow the road and you will start to enter Sheldon village
- When you come to the Cock & Pullet Pub on your left, Keepers Cottage is second on the right after the field
- Drive straight up the drive of Townend Cottage in between the garage and the wall
- You can then park your car in front of the wood store
